- [very formally] I'm going to need you to delete all these rows from this Excel spreadsheet I just emailed you. Do you know how to do that?
- Me:
- Yeah, of course.
- My boss:
- Let me watch you do it so I know you're doing it right.
- Me:
- Well, I can just watch you do it if there's a certain way you want me to do it.
- My Boss:
- Are you saying you don't know how to do it?
- Me:
- [pause] Are you saying *you* don't know how to do it?
- My Boss:
- No.
- [I delete a row.]
- My Boss:
- You just deleted the entire sheet.
- Me:
- No I didn't.
- My Boss:
- OK.
- [And he walks away.]
