life's too short to be one person

day eight:

Well, last night I went out, but it was nothing spectacular. Let’s see… I got off work at 3 and had to drive an hour home to Clarkston from Ann Arbor. The plan was to immediately take a shower and do my hair because my hair takes FOREVER to do.

But that didn’t quite work out because on my way home I got into a little fender bender on the highway. My first accident ever! (other than the time I was learning to drive and hit the side of my house…). Luckily everyone was completely fine. My car has two dents and a few scratches but nothing even close to major, and my car was the worst damaged. So basically it was your standard traffic accident. Traffic was moving really slowly, and the lady in front of me stopped short. I immediately hit my brakes and tried to swerve out of the way, but I couldn’t swerve because when I hit my brakes the car behind me swerved around me so I lightly hit the car in front of me. But then behind us, two cars were also rear-ended. So five cars total. The car I hit had no damage at all, and the lady and I were going to just exchange information, but the people from the car behind me had already called the cops. So we waited for them to come, and the guy behind me was trying to place all the blame on me. It was weird. In the end, the cop gave me a ticket for following too closely, but he told me that he only gave me a ticket so that he could give the guy behind me a ticket, too, and if I schedule a court date he’ll make sure I get off. So basically it was a huge waste of time.

When I got home I had no time to do my hair so I just washed it and made a little side braid. Eww but whatev. My parents got Chinese food and had brought me shrimp fried rice, but I didn’t have time to eat it. Then I drove to John’s apartment in Pontiac and picked him up to go watch the Pistons’ last pre-season game. I had gotten free tickets through work and figured it was more fun than sitting at home with my parents. Hilary also went and brought three friends. Decent times were had. The Pistons lost by 2 to the Memphis Grizzlies :(

After the game, I dropped John off and went to Hilary’s friends place. Hilary made some chicken nuggets so we split those while talking to Justin’s brother and his obnoxious girlfriend. Seriously homegirl was so judgmental and rude. I was not amused. I tried to just stay quiet, but I couldn’t help getting really passive aggressive. Sorry I’m not sorry. She was a bitch. They were all planning on going to this haunted house, but I was too tired and annoyed at that girl and broke and scared to go. So I drove home, read the script for Wonderful Life, an original musical I was just cast in (!), and went to sleep.

Not as detailed as it could be, but I think that’s enough.
